The Queen with Mountain View has some of the best views in the hotel. A black bed, a bath tiled floor to ceiling in black, and brushed brass running through all of it.
Set high in the building, it opens straight onto the peaks: Whiteface from the rooms at the front, Algonquin and Street Mountain from those at the back, framed from the bed and shifting with the weather and the light. The considered detail is all here, the brass, the sconces, the push-button switches you press rather than flip, and then you look up and the mountains are the whole window.
A marble washstand and a walk-in rain shower behind the black tile. A persimmon armchair adds a spot of warmth against all the black.
