The King Suite is the one to slow down in. A king bed, a small seating area, and a soaking tub set into the corner of the bath, with a window beside it.
The tub is the heart of it: a freestanding white soaking tub standing in the corner of an oversized bath, black tile on the wall behind it, a window alongside. From inside, look out toward the High Peaks, including Marcy and Algonquin, the two highest mountains in New York. In the room, a blue upholstered bed and a seating area with a single armchair, space the standard rooms don't have, to sit and do nothing in particular.
Brushed brass throughout, the sconces, the reading lights, the push-button switches you press rather than flip, and a marble washstand in the larger bath. Red oak floors, high in the building, with the mountains beyond.
